Default Hot at Bald Knob Lake

Got out early and spent 4.5 hours on the water. Started off slow with only a few shell cracker. Then I found the bluegill in different spots and the game was on. Not sure of the total but it was a lot. Enough fun to keep me out in that heat. Left biting fish but I pulled out at 11:55. Don’t see me getting out again for a couple of weeks if not more. The forecast is nothing but weeks of extreme heat. Had three setups with me today, and I caught fish with all of them. A couple of Fine Tail Banshees and the Diplomat Extreme. Had one shell cracker at the 10 inch mark and several 9 inch bluegill. Rest of the fish were 7-8 inches. Those rods made it a fun trip. Of course Trout Magnet was the lure. Used Bison, Sow Bug and a few with Root Beer Float. Came home and AC was out. Back up now but waiting on a part. But still, Life is good!

Lots of folks out there can’t understand why we tolerate conditions we do to chase the fish we love !

That’s worth staying for. Good trip Randy, I’ll look for the video.

Nice mess of gills and redear. Would certainly put a smile on my face until the next time you get out. Been dodging the heat myself.
