I wait for any break in the temps this time of year - including rainy days (as long as it’s not a thunderstorm - I’m not picking up a graphite rod, nor sitting on the water when it’s lightning). I’ve caught some great fish in a downpour. I have some great memories of sitting under a bridge with it raining out, just pulling them in one after another. I used to do early mornings, but these days, I like sleeping in a bit on weekends. So I try evenings when it’s not too bad. Lately… it’s too bad. Right now, it’s 90 with 80% humidity. Just past midnight. Blah! I’m sleeping in. Ha!
All the best,
Glenn

What is this to hot to fish you talk about? lol

That's some GREAT fishing weather right there. It's near 100* daily here and the water must be mid 80's or close to 90* by now.

For my wife and I it’s too much when it hits 85 and higher. We don’t tolerate the heat well as we get older. We do take a 20v Dewalt fan and Millennium Umbrella any more when we fish in the summer. We are probably go into invest in a Bimini in the near future.

I go on any hot day. Don't matter to me. If I get too hot, I just troll at 35 mph for a while.
