Default 4’6” XUL Palms Quattro Slim report

Dropped my wife off for Physical Therapy this morning. We got there right on time , so no extra time to drive to the docks .
This gave me 30-40 minutes to actually fish .
I caught a little gill on my first cast using a Bobby Garland Itty bit Swim’r on a homemade .8g tungsten bead jig .
Although small , the little guy put a nice bend in the Quattro.
I thought , I may have found the rod I’ve been looking for .
In the short time I fished , I managed to catch eleven gills and a small fun size bass .
Three of the gills were nice , although not big by any measure, they put the little rod to the test .
Two of them and the little bass dove under the docks making me glad I was using a 4# Floroclear leader on the Daiwa J Braid X8 .
I like the little rod . It probably wouldn’t be everybody cup of tea , but the results today made me cancel my order for a 4’6” Major Craft Finetail glass rod and order another one of these .
It’ll stay cased up in the cordura tube in the car , along with an UL spinning reel , for one of those times I run across a spot to wet a line . Also it’ll make a great backup rod .
These were my three best gills and one of the prettier little ones .
