most of the fish I try to measure and that would be a small number , lay still a half second , depending on how "green" they are and what the outside temps are and the etc etc etc .....a deep hooked fish will often flounce considerably more than a paper lip hooked one
of course there are tricks to everything , ever tried the big trout laying in the palm of your hand on it's belly thing ?
it is amazing a fish that ridiculous stupid with the losing it's mind type of action out of the water ,would just go all sublime in a half second in that pose ....for sure ....:dono

Keep your bump board in your livewell so it stays cool. Fish flop when you put them on the board because the board is hot and dry. I rarely ever have a crappie move when i board them since i switched to plastic boards and keep them in the livewell
