Yes, but these fish weren't on beds; they were milling around in shallow water (5-6 feet) where a creek runs into a lake. I was actually casting to them, aka sniping. I can see bream beds very clearly, though, the beds I've found don't have any fish on them yet. The females were full of eggs, so it should happen soon.Quote:

They weren't on the bank; I tried that first because that's how I usually find them when not on bed, but no dice. I noticed fish on screen out in the shallow middle of the creek, tossed out a worm, and very quickly caught the first one when he almost yanked the rod out of the boat. Seems they stage in shallow water as the full moon approaches, something my friend Scott aka @ultraslab noticed last year. Just a jig and a wiggler - I almost never use a cork.Quote:
