Better than a good day at work

Took Monday off for my birthday. A wise man said to make sure nobody can tell you what to do on your day. So, I planned the perfect day! But….

missed breakfast

Started a project, realized my saw wasn’t set up right

got a flat tire on my bike

lunch was delayed

ended my day at the pond, someone pulled out in front of me, when I hit the brakes I broke my trusty $59 Pfueger ULW Wal Mart combo


Fish weren’t biting, despite the great weather

But, all in all I got a few and proved that the old adage holds true.

so, here for a recommendation. I fish exclusively at the neighborhood pond for small panfish with a trout magnet and two pound test. Nothing relaxes me more than catching a few panfish on a rare break from the norm. What a a good $50ish rod? I can use the existing reel from my old combo.
