Wife had two appointments today one at 10am the other at 2pm
I hate just sitting in the vehicle waiting, so I drop her off and head to the nearest water , which happens to be the Town Pond for a thirty minute fishing trip
First trip I took a 5 St Croix Premier paired with a Shimano Soare BB 500spg with a Sahara spool and two pound Floroclear.
Jig was a black rabbit fur tail on a size 10 jig hook and Tungsten bead .
I caught three gills and lost another , along with a nice pound and quarter LM that spit the jig on a jump .
In the afternoon, I took a 56 St Croix Triumph ULF2 with a Shimano Sahara 500fj .
Jig was a black rabbit fur tail on a size 10 sickle hook jig hook and Tungsten bead .
Fishing was a little better this trip with a total of nine , seven gills , two small bass .
We had a good rain overnight and the water was up into the grass surrounding the pond . .
I like it when it gets a natural flushing . Although some of the gills did feel a little slimier than they should have been .
Somebody , caught one of the nice bluegills out of the pond and just tossed it on the bank . I could tell it was probably yesterday, judging from the condition of the gill .
It was covered in ants . I took a stick and flipped it into the pond so the turtles could get to it .
I figured it was probably someone hacked off because the pond is catch and release only .
Hate to see it wasted like that .
