Thanks everyone. You can imagine how excited he was when I spoke with him. Truly a day to remember.

Bowman, I’ve never had any so I can’t say. Most folks I talk with say that they like em fine. The meat appears to be darker and possibly like a bluegill in density. I caught a big one in 2020 and gave it away, opportunity lost.

That sure was a mighty fine looking tilapia. I bet he was tickled to death. Some good eats too.

That would be a blast to hook into

As far as I know, we don't have any around my area. However. the better half will by some frzn fillets. To me they are a cross between a gill and a white bass. Makes some great fish taco's after being fried up.
