Lakes with a lot of snails, clams and crayfish Redear seem to be fatter than lakes that don't have the big forage base that they prefer. Watched the conservation department stock 2500 3-4" redear into a 5 acre lake a couple of days ago. Apparently the lake is loaded with yellow snails and are clogging the sewer drains and aren't allowing any run off. Lake overflowed and there was 3" of water on the sidewalk around the entire lake.

The lake has Redear in it already but they top out at 7" right now. Lake used to have some 9-10" when it had some coontail in it but people complained it had too much weeds so they treated it with Aquaside and now no plant life grows there.
