Yep. Its a nice fish. :) Maybe its a hybrid? Kind of a mixture of different bream. Happens sometimes. Or maybe it is a Bluegill and I just can't see the dark spot at the rear of the dorsal from the photo angle.

This is the kind of thing that fish stories are created.

Well, in one pond I fish there are redear and bluegill. I have caught quite a few that are obvious crossbreeds of the two. Might be that's what you got, but it sure does look like a pure breed redear. I can definately see a lighter stripe around the outside of the "blue" spot and that ain't there on no bluegill.
Well I can't argue there, but that fish don't have the same colorations as the ones I catch round here. Also, the mouth on that fish looks bigger, like a redear. Is it possable that it is a cross??Quote:
