We had a cold front come through last night . It was actually more chilly than cold .
Weather this morning was overcast , and windy . Temps in the low fifties , but standing on the dock casting spoons , it felt a lot colder .
Wound up having to wear gloves .
I had a few follow my spoon ,and a couple of nibbles , before finally catching a gill .
This place usually only gives up tiny gills , but the ones I saw were a little bigger than normal.
I had changed the hooks from treble to single hooks and I think that cost me a couple of fish .
On what was to be my last cast , I had this fish ,I think it was a bass , took a swipe at my little 1/32 red/white Daredevil.
I had it on for maybe two seconds before the hook pulled out .
Exciting last cast .Would have been fun on my 4”6” Daiwa Trout X AT rod . My reel was a Daiwa Revros LT 1000S
This one kept the skunk away . And I’ll be spooning around these docks again soon .
