Thread: Everything matters

Hit some ponds at my friends place west of town for a little bit Saturday.
Everything was biting , so it seems ,everything matters ....
we used jigs with crappie nibbles and managed to ketch lots of small bass
a few nice bluegill , a few nice crappie , a nice catfish and EVEN a BIG minnow .....
most of the fish only bit on slow retrieves without the use of a float.
fish had that feel of cool to the touch and we didnt stay long at any spot.
there was a huge church camping party there so we made it a short trip.
sure was busy for the middle of nowhere .
the father and son teams were just blazing doves over a big sunflower field
the kids were just running wild around the main pavilion area playground
and the huge smoker was billowing a cloud of sweet smoke
looked like a tent sale from a distance I tell ya ....
now mind ya this ,we were on the way home from a big ole country cook out at my family place west of there , we hog hunted in the morning and had fire grilled fajitas for lunch .
YES we put a nice young sow hog in the ice chest as well ....
beef and chicken on the fajitas if you must know and it was a long day for an older fella
