I visited a local water reservoir this morning armed with my 7’ Goture Moonlight Tenkara rod .
My fly today was a black size 14 rubber legged spider tied with woolybooger chenille and yellow/black variegated legs . The woolybooger chenille has a little bit of flash in it .
I caught a total of twenty five today , mostly little bluegills , one green sunfish and a small warmouth.
The green sunfish have almost disappeared from these waters lately. Im not sure what has happened to them . The water level is about 10-12” lower than previous visits in spite of the rains we’ve been having .
I think they are intentionally lowering the lake level to make room for any other rains that are predicted.
These are some of the more interesting color combos. I like the bars on the third one .
