Thread: Went in light today

Just a Cabela's Prime 6'4" glass 4wt. and a small pack. Nice walking in without a bunch of gear for a change. The aquatic weeds off the bank made for some tough roll casts and landing fish. Did manage a half dozen or so small green sunfish/gill hybrids like the one in the first pic. and one nice size one also. Lost a real nice size regular gill trying to lift it out of the water since I decided to go light and not take the net today. It had one of those super bright orange bellies, and I was thinking, boy, I'm gonna take a pic of this one.
