Missed my flyrod today

I’ve been fishing the town pond lately , mainly because it’s close .
With the exception of yesterday, I’ve been taking spinning tackle .
Today I took my 5’6” St Croix Trout series paired with a Kastking Zephyr Finesse 1000 loaded with 4# Original P-line.
My bait bag today contain plastic and hand tied jigs . Thinking the soft plastics would help .
I fished a variety of baits in a variety of methods and ended up with one gill to keep the skunk off . It bit a 1/32 jig with a Bobby Garland Itty Bitty swimmer .
I’m pretty sure I could have done at least as good with my flyrod in the two hours I fished .
Probably should have spent half of that time traveling to a different location.
Planning another meet up with my fishing buddy tomorrow at the big reservoir.
I knew when I picked up the flyrod again , it was going to be hard to put it back down .
