Of sorts. It's an ABU 1500C, which is a small sized round reel, similar to the more familiar 5000 series. The 1500C is thew narrow spool version and the 2500C the wider (more common or normal) size. These came out around 1976/77. They were more up through the 90s or early 2000, but after the 80s, mostly only for sale in Japan. My 1500C is from 1977. I've upgraded the spool bearings and added a lightweight spool, lightweight worm gear with bearings, and a light weight line guide than can also deal with braid. The original line guide wasn't made for use with braid. It will cast lures down to about 1/16th of an ounce (maybe 1/32 oz short distances - could work if wading steams and creeks). Lots of fun and something a bit different. I love the old reels too. So, with the upgrades, it'a a nice mix of the old and new.
