Thread: Fly rod Friday

Made the 18 minute drive this morning to fish the Butterstick at the water reservoir .
The fish are small , but the Butterstick makes it fun to catch them .
I caught 20 total, including green sunfish, shellcracker, redbreast , bluegill, and a few hybrids.
The color combinations on these little “brim” make up for their size . And the green sunfish fight like they’re the king of the waters .
They dart out of the rocks and you have to be quick to keep them from darting back into the rock crevices. All this fun on about ten feet of line out .
Loving the Butterstick and can’t wait to get one in a one weight .
