The epoxy is drying as we write this. FedEx shows my replacement top is at the local Ga delivery office - should be here tomorrow, except I don't trust FedEx, just sayin', poor performance - I prefer DHL. Fingers crossed.

Very nice.
You’re doing great with those big gills. I can’t break 10” but you’ve got lots more to choose from than I do. Congrats.
Not happy that you’re repairwent south but at least you knew which way to go. I just got my tip for my Sam Heston dipping rod in so I know you’re anticipation.
Well, it stood up to two days of big 'gill abuse, but you were right: the superglue is too brittle. The epoxy will get a long cure if the tip shows up tomorrow. I'll keep it for a spare, and put the new tip on straightaway. I ain't foolin' around with these stocky blue drag peelers no mo'. Rod at 100%. Angler at 100%. Check.
Those are some nice ones
Awesome gills! Good images on electronics as well. I think that’s so cool how you can see the beds. I might get me something for my pelican. Big purchase for this year was xi3 with spotlock so maybe I’ll get some sort of sonar at some point. That sure does look like a fun place to fish!
Awesome pics and catches. I have no SI or Live imaging type of electronics, I bet they do eliminate a lot of water. Is the LS in perspective mode?

Yes, LS in perspective mode. It is the only thing the perspective mode is good for - in my opinion - as it only gets a good picture at shallow depths around 5-15 feet. I have a RAM ball mount screwed to the Fishing Specialties pole holder that I can tilt around to get a better picture sometimes. SideVu is faster when searching a lake, you can run the boat faster and turn up the scroll speed to match, but you can't see the beds as well. LS perspective is short range, I keep it on 50 feet, but you can point it forward and follow the bank in about 8-12 FOW at slow speed, and see the beds in time to stop and set up without spooking the fish.
LS is not perfect, and I run mine cranked and a bit noisy. I no longer get into discussions/debates on-line about the tech aspects of PLS (too much acrimony and "misinformation"), and all the artifacts and limitations etc, I just use it the way it works for me. It helps being a electrical engineer with some experience in sonar and radar to understand what I'm "seeing" (hearing?) on the screen. I caught plenty of bedding bream before I got it, but it has changed the way I fish for the better. All just my opinion!
Wow monsters beautiful fish
Very nice
