I saw your post after I did the superglue glue repair. Depending on how the weather is this weekend I may try to soak the tip in acetone to get it back apart. I have some West marine G-flex epoxy left over from working on the boat that I could use for an epoxy repair. I checked on line last evening on a replacement tip BnM was out of stock, I didn't see a replacement tip listed on the Grizzly jig site for the TCB.

I don't think acetone will soften superglue. Maybe just fish with it until it cracks again, then clean up and use the epoxy. I used the cheap Gorilla 5-minute clear stuff. Best regards, I'm sure you can get a top for the TCB, might have to contact the mfr. The only good US rod I ever broke a tip on was a St Croix trout special, and they gave me one free when I called them.

Acetone works well for removing super glue. I soaked the tip for a couple minutes and was able to work the pieces apart, cleaned up the parts as best I could then mixed up a little bit of G Flex for the repair. Going to let it set till at least tomorrow as cure time on the epoxy is around 24 hrs.

I stand corrected on the acetone. Good to know. Hope the repair holds up well.
