Some Toads Today.

Well folks..the bad news…..no bedding going on yet at Nickajack. Other than the redbreast bed I found yesterday……and in less than 24 hours someone found it and cleaned every fish off of it. There was a lot of good news though.…I found a ton of fish anyway! In 4.5 hours boated 135 fish…vast majority were bluegill….most at the 8 inch mark…chunky fish. Had a good number of shell cracker….several between 10-11 inches. Had the largemouth that tested all the skills I had as an UL angler. Although I have to tell you, an 11 inch shell cracker will test out your skills, and your line. Even got into some 12 inch crappie. Rod was same as yesterday…Abu Garcia Diplomat Extreme 62 UL Area Trout rod….line was Varivas 2.3# test ES2 Ester Mono Lemoni with a section of 2# test Phantom FC as a shock leader. Lure of choice was Bison colored Trout Magnet. Resting up over the weekend, then hitting it again Monday morning. Life is good and getting better!

What a great trip, Randy. Really sorry to hear about folks just cleaning out a spot, but nothing you can do about that. Those were some fine looking bass and pans!
