We often talk about surprise catches when we're fishing for panfish and a big fish, like a bass takes our lures. This can be quite a ride with UL gear. The reverse happen this afternoon. I had a 1/4 Oz Megabass Griffon shallow running crank bait tied on, looking for bass. Got one after a few casts. No monster but a nice 2+ pounder.

He ate those front hooks like he was hungry! I was tempted to set up one of the UL rods with one of the tiny cranks to see if I could catch some more. But dinner was calling. Maybe this weekend.
