Results of the test:
1 hr of fishing with just plain jigs produced nothing. Not usually the case on this water but happened. I switched to the the Charlie Bee with the spinner blade and my partner switched to a crappie magnet with a spinner blade. Strangely enough that changed the day completely. Not only did the fish want them but aggressively too. They were smashing these lures. The following 2 hrs produced 3 crappie. The largest at 13.5 inches. 18 bg between 9 and 10.5 inches. My conclusion is that some days they just want the extra flash of the blade. I really enjoyed testing this and learning yet another way to entice a bite. [emoji3]

I have used them and put a cricket on the hook tip and watch out. You will catch everything that swims. I know the cricket is cheating, but it works.
