We took our first trip to our bluegill spot this year this week .
they were not easy to ketch and parked on the bottom .
the good news is we had a plan and sure enough it went according to plan ...
to some degree I should say
the intention was to ketch a load for the neighbor
instead we invited some of the 16 fish we kept to dinner as our guests
the other got done whole minus heads and scales for the owner of my company .
you see plans change and so was the deal this time .
so bluegill tacos were on the menu and the dinner guests were quite charming to say the least .
it was less than stellar ,but way past entertaining . a couple showed up with a boy the same age as my daughter and he had never went fishing in his life .he asked if he could use a rod and i said sure and gave them a handful of tips and showed him how a barbie pole works ......
he and his dad tried to ketch one . they failed a few times and dad and mom went for a little stroll as the boy stayed focused on the task at hand and let me tell you this ....
he hooked something quite large and it got away !
the good news is he was diligent and stayed the course and caught his first fish not long after that !
it makes a heart happy to see a young one ketch their first ever fish beyond on words i tell ya ,,,,,priceless moments in time for sure.
apologize for the crappie in the mix , just a bad day to eat a worm for her ......
and the tacos were YES just about AWL DAT !
KABOOM is the word yawl![]()
