Nice Surprise

First fish of the day, a nice crappie on a Mister Twister micro craw swam on a 1/64 jighead. Usually catch some swimming jigs in the spring here and then thats it. Crappie was the last thing I thought I would catch today. The other fish today on micro craw, Trout magnet w/overhead spinner, and a few on poppers. This is a shallow water pond. Monday, at another deeper water lake, could only manage a few small fish. Had 2 juvenile rat snakes sunning themselves nearby that day so one got his picture taken.

Fished same pond today. Wind really picked up with cold front approaching. Fished Creme angle worms rigged a few different ways and managed to catch a few decent fish. Those 2 hybrids put a nice bend in that little Fenwick!
