Hi Ketchn, you probably right. However I still think fishing as a hobby is anything but simple just ask them fly fishermen...lol. Read it in a magazine somewhere it states that, “fly fishing is not hard, it’s choosing which fly to use that’s where it gets complicate” or something like that:)

Its kinda like a pegged Texas rig.You probably could make one by crimping on a BB shot and super glue it to tiny snap swivel.
Well gentlemen glad I can share some info here. FYI this is where I ordered the weights! I got the 2gram ones for smaller fish but they have bigger sizes too. Unfortunately there are no none US tackle store I know off selling these weights...only way in is from overseas.
Techno2000 I that’s exactly like the pegged Texas rig but doesn’t look cool the way i hoped it turn out like the true Cheb. Rig...lol

I think the reason those are designed like that is to bump the bottom some ,especially on rocks and gravel and such .
here in Texas they might work well in some of the streams for this presentation , i could see a hellgramite imitation doing some lip damage
That Russian bait/jig reminds me of Sputnik!
I've stated in earlier post that i see no advantage comparing this jig head to stardard (trout magnet, aka fixed jig head) type...maybe i'm too early to jump to conclusions. Another member pointed out it has to have a benefits in order for them to be a thing and that's problably the best assumption for me at this point because i haven't really used it for other larger fish species outside of a handful panfish. However i'm still surprised that many of us haven't already tried them out because they are very popular in the European angling circles. Im also intersted to know how this would work also for the boat fishermen, lots of video on Youtube emphasize the important of bait movements when fishing for perch in big river mostly from banks.
