Not mine, but the oldest grandbaby....6 years old, my how time flies especially when there is 5 hour drive and a danged virus between us and the birthday girl.
Sporting some Board Bling she put on a dance show that would make J Lo jump out of her seat. In the background you can see the other reward for the long journey northward....a Panfish infested lake. Armed with two JDM rods strung up with pink braid and a box full of buggy baits I got up extra early on party day and stuck my fair share of its inhabitants.
Lots of pics here, nothing of great size or stature, as I am sure they are stunted and in need of thinning.
Crappie are present in great numbers and I did score my PB for this lake, a 12in specimen, biggest in 6 years I have put a hand on. After a small outside party with immediate family only, a late night turn in and another early morning spin around the lake on Sunday I pierced a few more lips before heading back South to TN.
Trout Magnets were tipped with nibbles and did try a new bait purchased from a Board Sponsor H2O Hammer... the Waximus an ice plastic Wax worm that looks very good on a 1g super sharp Tict jig head.
Throw a little Slab Sauce on it and the bait will catch Specks as well. Did not tip these wormy imitations with anything and strikes were definitely violent. Thanks for looking and enjoy the pics.
Later dudes!
