Thanks guys, the problem is I don’t get this size regularly. If I move to other spots, always small and just a few mix of palm size. One thing, 3 of the biggest bluegill came from this spot. It is a flat sandy beach mix with rock area, but adjacent to old deep river system (25-30’ deep). I’m gotta learn when and where to find their nest outside of spawning period. Man I have so many questions but don’t know where to start. A lot of those guys that catch big bluegill either fishing deep on boat or smaller pond with a lot of weed. My lake is about 400 acres with a bunch of private docks that I cannot get into. Man it is tough but that the fun of fishing, right?

Right now coves, small creeks or pockets are worth fan casting as most of the gills are spawning...... Most of the gills will be shallow through August.....
