    Default USPS Trouble

USPS warns of late mail delivery after significant revenue loss amid coronavirus pandemic | Fox News

Not good news at all. I know many if not all are dependent on USPS for a variety of goods. Lately it has been hit and miss for me with USPS, several orders for fly/jig tying including Amazon are either late or don't show up at all. Tracking shows packages reach a DC and then no activity???

You can inquire about missing packages in the link below:

    Frustrating to say the least.....

We have had some packages disappear of late as well. One weak point seems to be the handoff between a carrier such as UPS and the USPS. The tracking seems to break down at that point as well. I’d put my money on the USPS - the other carriers have a high reliability, but things might be better in your neck of the woods. It is frustrating.

Yes it’s been terrible lately. I tracked some packages from carrier to my city USPS and then they stayed there for a week!!! Should of had them the next day.

Off topic here but the German owned DHL is the best logistics company out there. They don't mess around, very impressive service and tracking.

Over the past few weeks I have had close to ten deliveries from Japan (a range of values, but never exceeding the $800 customs limit) by DHL and Fedex. Always lightning fast and never any additional fees. If Japanese web-based stores decided to stick with these couriers over EMS, I'd be very happy with that. Soon enough I'll be ordering a 10 ft rod (2 piece, free shipping), and DHL has assured me that there are no extra fees that are based on dimensions, just that the shipper will have to pay more in shipping charges. I will have to see if that holds true, but it surely sounds very encouraging.

Recieved a reel from Digitaka in Kobe, Ja in 1 1/2 days via FedEx and the shipping was free for me.
Waiting 3 weeks now to get a package from Nova Scotia, it was sent Canadian Air.

I’ll be happy when EMS is working again. For small items such as line....jig heads....and so on.....the DHL and FedEx route makes the cost prohibitive.

    Regards

I've done a couple of shipments from Digitaka where I had to pick up the shipping cost. I did not see any noticeable difference with EMS.

I’ll go back and run it again but the last time I tried the shipping was more than the items I wanted.

    Regards
