Small floats will help but so will using a jig hook. They are a huge help in preventing gut-hooking.Quote:

Not bad for an hour.
This smaller micro series bends and is mildly responsive upon strike. However you question yourself the entire time you are reeling in the fish in, because it basically feels like you are pulling in an empty line.
Disappointed to lose two assumed catfish due to slipped knots. I also had two gut hooks, I changed to a jig hook and may have remedied the issue. The larger bobbers are a pita with these small fish. Attachment 382316Attachment 382317Attachment 382318Attachment 382319

You may want to try a Palomar Knot, very strong, easy to tie and won't slip. Or, an Improved Clinch as well if you are already used of tying the Clinch knot.Quote:
