Sometimes when you fish a different water it seems some of the same lures don't work. It happened yesterday under a cloudy sky with a cool breeze. What could be better?! Well after 1 1/2 hours of only one fish, I was calling it quits because I figured either the fish weren't in areas fished or they were really turned off. At the last minute I figured, why not try some of my new hybrid designs? Good thing I did !

The first lure I cast I call my cello tail worm:

It caught mostly bass !

Similar paddle tails did as well:

...even when used with an overhead spinner, as did the Slider Worm beneath it:

Curl tail hybrid using a French Fry stick segment and curl tail always produces:

(Note hooked positioned so lure can be photographed.)

It also did well with the blade:

Last but not least - the cone tail grub:

Glad I stayed. Caught 26 fish in 2 hours and went home very satisfied.
