Default Breaking in a new gill catcher

My birthday present came yesterday and I had to check it out to make sure it was ok .
Went creek fishing first and found the creek low . But still managed to catch 10 small redbreast and bluegills .
The new rod makes even the little ones fun .
It’s a 6’ 2wt fiberglass Redington Butterstick . Just enough noodle to make it fun , but fast enough to cast .
I only had one spot in the shade where I fished for about an hour then drove nine minutes to the water reservoir I’ve been fishing .
Two of my spots were taken by other fishermen, so I went to my third spot , which happed to be shaded also .
After about ten minutes , one of the other fishermen showed up about 30-40 yards from me . Almost too close IMO .
I wouldn’t have invaded another guys fishing spot like that .
That’s ok though , because I put on a clinic for him , catch a dozen while he went skunked.
The new rod is awesome . Now I want the 5’9” 1 wt Butterstick.
