I took out two guys from Indiana yesterday in search of giant bluegill. They caught six that measured 11" or better. My high-dollar water-resistant bench scale crapped out after a minor boat spill involving a large flopping bluegill early on, so we didn't get any weights, but we had several that would've gone between twenty and twenty-four ounces, a big coppernose that likely would've gone twenty-eight ounces, and a northern bluegill female that measured 11.5" and which I'm pretty confident would've weighed two pounds:
