I agree. Also a little less prone to picking up weeds IMO. I do think that a larger blade size on the beetle spin allows for slower retrieves, which sometimes makes a difference.

Black beetles have always been one of my favorites, but there are days when the fish just don't seem to want them.

I used to love the mr twister white curly tailed spinners. it had a nice thump to it and would catch big bg's or especially bass consistantly. havn't seen those for years and don't know why. but I buy the cheap beetle spins and put a curly tail jig on them and it works great for silver beauties too.
