Those are big fish! I use number two hooks but they still get deep hooked and I have to use pliers to extract the hook. So the jig hook is the way to go??

I recently watched a video on Youtube where a guy was using jig hooks for catfish, and he made the same point: jig hooks prevented the cats from swallowing the hook.
