Shellcrackers on bed 5/13/2018

Dr Phil and I hit the shellcracker beds this morning for a couple of hours or so and had a really good productive time. We kept 27 Red eared sunfish aka Shellcrackers, and 8 bluegills all over 8" and up to a little over 10" on the crackers. We used Bobby Garland Itty Bitty Slab Slayers on 1/48 oz jigs and the hot colors were Black, and Pink Lemonade. All fish that were under 8" were released to grow up and there were several.

My wife, Wanda wants to hit them in the morning, but we won't keep any under 9". It wore me out cleaning 35 fish late this afternoon. Grin.
