    out in deep water with a herd a crappie was this here white gill ......

    He's/She's so light in color it almost looks like it was trying to be a crappie! I catch some that color (lack of?) on cold days when I start out trying to catch that 10 lb. early spring bass and then give up and start dragging ultralight jigs on the bottom in a desperate attempt to get a bite, any bite. Healthy looking little one though.

    If it had pink eyes I would have said albino.....
    I've seen some pale ones but nothing like this.

    The cold water is my guess. I've seen LMB bleached out like that in dead of winter, looked really odd.
