when its real stirred up we go to tensil jigs

Black and white would be my first pick after the black. Black and red will work. Also the yellow with a white head is good. The other colors may be awesome as well but I haven't used them so I can't advise on them....
All tipped with the white glo crappie nibble! Good luck! You're on the right path for sure.

Have you ever used the 1.5" smoke sparkle club tails?
Those caught my eye along with the grape sparkle ones.

No experience with the marabou but, I tie 1/100 deer hair for winter and early spring gills. Favorite head colors are Black,red,brown, burnt orange and watermelon. I will tip with a chartreuse color nibble. works great!
