Friday the 13th is bad luck

For 19 bluegills. Took a day off after several stressful weeks at work and had until 2:00PM to catch some fish. Got to the pond at 9:45 and caught as many as I wanted to fillet by 12:15. Was going on a hunt for shellcrackers, but the bluegill were obliging enough I just stuck with them.

to bad for them gills though .....seems a black cat crossed their path ....
and when they tried to walk under the ladder to side step the cat ....
then they slipped off into your sink ....but hey there is some good news for them gills .....
they got dinner plans out of the deal ...LOL

Thanks everyone. I forgot to put anything in the photo for perspective. I didn't put a ruler to them, but my hand span, tip of thumb to tip of pinkie, is 8". These were all about 1/2" either way of my hand span. A little, and heavily fished, public water near Memphis, but it's been putting out fish like these for at least 40 years. As big as an 8-1/2 incher seems, those being posted by LedHed and Alphahawk are definitely something special.

My tournament partner and I had a good day Pre-fishing for a walleye tournament.

We took 16 walleyes in under 1.5 hours. I might also add we changed the name of our boat the night before, I had two dozen bananas on board, Ruffus the black cat sat in the front, we drove under a ladder, and my partner was wearing a "Jason" hockey mask!
