Default Gills staging at Dale Hollow.

Fished Dale Hollow a little today. In trying to get out of the wind I hit a bunch of smaller coves. Just off the banks in 10-15 feet of water I marked a lot of Gills with the di. My guess is they are staging to move up on to the banks of these coves.....4-8 feet of water......to start bedding. I caught around 40 of these chunky fish....as I said before not the best but a lot of drag pulling fun on 2# test line. Had around 14 Smallies today also. I only fished a few hours. It was cold....at least cold to an older man on blood thinner.....it was supposed to get to 71 there today and maybe it did. But while I was there it was 57 degrees with winds 5-20 MPH at times. The water temps were 70-70.5 degrees. Didn't catch the first shellcracker. The next decent weather day to fish there will be Friday. Wind is supposed to blow hard in the Mid-TN area next two days. Life is good!
