    Almost any small jig works for bluegill.

    I used an all black one tipped with a wax worm on Reelfoot and it was a great bait.

    The little 1/80oz with a crappie nibble will catch all you want. I prefer the black colors.

    casting these under a cork/float ? split shot on ultra-lite? vertical jigging ?

    I love just throwing out with a ultra light under a split shot. I let it fall to the bottom and start a slow retrieve. A cork is fine to. Add a nibble for 3x the bites.

    I've always had the best luck with black for gills.

    we fished under a slip float. I had 3 boys and my wife in the boat and all I could do was bait hooks and take fish off. Can't tell you how many times I smacked in the face with a 3/4 to 1lb blue gill getting slung into the boat. It was a great trip.
