    Default Central VA gills

Hit the mill pond Friday and caught a lot of nice fish. Here in VA, they have moved off the beds and are on laydowns and mid lake brush etc... Water temp was 74 and all fish caught in 4-6 FOW. I fish a 1/24 oz red sickle hook under a slip bobber with a 1" gulp cricket. This is very effective and lots of fun. I kept about 10 ranging from 8 to a little over 9". If these fish weighed 5 pounds you could not get them to the boat!

Healthy chunky gills and pretty lake. That is a recipe for good times .
