    Default Pickwick Bream

Pickwick was pretty hot last week for bream. I think these were mostly males- I didn't find any with eggs. Caught 112 in about 3-4 hours. 9ft water & I was fishing about 4ft deep. Cant wait to eat a few...

What do you look for to catch these? I've seen pics of bream beds but never had ff until now to look for them. I usually fish yellow creek bear or waterloo for crappie.

I have fished the same area for several years. I look for sandy banks & where deep water graduates to shallow. Also if you watch, you will see little hits on top of the water where bluegills are sucking bugs down. Approach very slow so as you don't spook them & fish quietly - no bumping and knocking around. The big ones will leave if your not careful. Also I fish with light split shot & and pencil type bobber. Good luck
