I finally got one! I released over a dozen bluegills over 9" today while fishing some prespawn staged schools at a little pressured local pond. She smacked a whole red worm on a 1/32 oz chartreuse ball jig 18" under a float from 5' of water. Excellent fight on my St. Croix rod!!! Now I just need to get one through the ice come winter time lol

This girl measured 11" on the nose - all fish were released today to spawn.
