    Default Kentucky Lake in May

I am going to Kentucky Lake around Paris Landing sometime in May to look for big bluegill beds. I have always wanted to do that. Been there crappie fishing many times but never bluegill hunting. I have been told that you can find them with side imaging. I have a nice Lowrance HDS 12 to search with but never tried looking for bluegill beds. Any suggestions on how to find them on Kentucky Lake during May? I am also going to Dale Hollow on May 9th for a weekend of bass fishing with some work people. I doubt I will find any bluegill beds in that deep place but may give it a try in between bass fishing, eating and drinking, lol. Anyone found bluegill beds on Dale Hollow before? Kentucky Lake? Thanks

my buddy and go to ky lake every year to bluegill fish and we have a blast. As long as you have side imaging you shouldn't have any problem finding them. i have a hummingbird si and I just set my distance to about 75 feet and start cruising the backs of bays and pockets and also anywhere you see sand or pea gravel. When you see the beds on your side view you'll know what they are, they are a bunch of circles stacked together. Look close at the beds to if you see a bunch of white specks in them that's the bluegill in them. Hope this helps.
