anybody tried this rod ? Have been using Okuma rods and really like the 6'6 cello(sp ?)
If your talking about the 6ft ones, I own two and use them dock shooting. They are tough with good sensitivity. I think it's a good quality product.
gift certificate from b/m . trying to decide between this rod and the 7 ft. . Sam Heaton .
All BnM rods are good
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I have a 7' Sam Heaton Signature Series rod (precursor to the SH Super Sensitive). I don't believe there's any difference between them, though, except blank color. I found the SH rod to be a nice little rod, overall. It has a parabolic bend (bends like a C). I replaced it with a 6'6" ESP rod, which has a extra fast tip (bends like a J).
You might also consider the Tenn Handle Float-n-Fly rod, or the Crappie Wizard rod, depending on how you're going to be using them (or the value of your gift cert.).

As has been said, all B n' M rods are great ULs. I have two of the 7' SHSS and I wouldn't trade them for anything.

Check out the St Croix "Panfish Series" rods. The UL in 6' or 6'9" is wonderful. It has the new micro guide system. A lot of tiny guides and a lot lighter.
For "dipping" I have better success with a regular fly rod set up. I use a 5 wt 9' rod. The benefit is the reel is on the end and has a much better balance?
I have a 10' Duck commander That my buddy Grizz gave me. I used once jigging and I think it feels good but I also am a BIG BnM fan
They always make a great donation to are crappie Shim Dig So I bought a sam heaton. Liked it and got 2 more. My brother liked them so he bought 3
When it came time to upgrade my spider rig set up I bought 6 of there BGP 14' rods.
I can't say anything about Okuma I have never used one but the BnM stuff is good stuff. Grizzly carries them and you can get new tips if needed pretty easy.
