Panfish Magnet

Are you saying you don't get good hook ups with the Panfish jig head? The Trout Magnet.....and Panfish Magnet bodies are the exact same size....am not understanding what you are calling panfish size....the jig heads both weigh 1/64....the Panfish jig head has a slightly longer shank hook.

I ordered the panfish size a couple seasons ago. They were bigger than the regular size magnets. Thicker and longer bodies and bigger heads. Not sure if they're still being made but I have some in one of my boxes in my storage bin. I fished them on a few different lakes and had very little success. My buddy caught a few on a chartruse one day while fishing with me. Southern pro bodies were the ticket puncher for me.

That sounds like the crappie magnets. They came out a few years ago and were made bigger to appeal to crappie.

Apoligies to Alphahawk. The crappie magnets are what i'm referring too. Thanks DB4D.

The trout magnet is simply a shad dart mainly painted gold. The plastic bodies have been around for a long time. You have a little better success with them if you trim the 2 back legs a little thinner (better action). Have not seen the pan fish magnets but from what I am reading they are the same with longer hooks. Pop

It would take a neuroseurgeon to trim them thinner. They are not beetle bodies. How can you pass judgement if you have not seen them? :banghead

Are you referring to the crappie magnet legs being trimmed thinner? They are made more for tightlining but splitting them may help, never thought about it. Might give it a try, always ready to look for a better way.
