Relaxed bluegilling in Iowa

I and my wife ventured over into Iowa for some bank Bluegill fishing e fished 3 different lakes and kept some from the last one. We found the bite at the very limt of our casts 1 1/2'to 3' deep. We used tiny jigs tipped with plump wax worms.The water was around 10' deep.
At the last we tried a shallow bay and were surprised to find spawning in full swing so we backed off that spot. What a great day to be out.
