    Default Rose Valley Gills

Took the canoe out early this morning with my newly acquired gear thanks to the people here at Crappie.com. I landed about 50 and kept 8 gills. The only bites I was getting was in the cattails, outside of this there was not even a nibble. An older gentleman on a boat was struggling with the bite as well, he was using minnows and jigs hoping for crappie and perch but said he only caught 2 while trolling. I caught one bass on a beetle spin as well. All in all a relaxing morning, but certainly need to brush up on my fileting skills. Hope to do it again tomorrow out at Lake Jean.

Also have attached a couple pics from taking the nieces out fishing on Monday. We went to a small nearby pond and put them on a few fish. Fun was had by all!

I'll bet that little lady will remember her catch for a long time.
