I am a proud new member of this forum and have enjoyed reading many stories and looking at all the great pics. I am heading to reelfoot on wednesday to take my wife on her first trip of the year. Would love to put her on some good fishing. I had a few good trips over there while the crappie were spawning now i am looking for some bluegill action. Thanks in advance for any input that will make our trip more successfull!

I PRACTICE CATCH & FRY---DONT EVERYBODY ? Thumbs Up
Well i wish i could serve up a better report for reelfoot from Wednesday but to say the least it was tough fishing! My wife and i fished for 5 hours and mangaged to put 4 fish in the livewell. We fished trees and lily pads in multiple locations and never could get on the fish. The lake is down about 3' from where is was during the first of april. Don't know if that had anything to do with it but i'm guessing it does. We couldn't have asked for better weather, i don't remember the lake ever being that calm. Oh well we still had a good time. We did stop at another lake in missouri on our way home and picked up 8 catfish and 5 bluegill so we managed to bring home enough to make a mess.
Good report. If every trip was a snap, there would be no challenge. Glad you
took a few home with ya. Better trips in the future.
