Thread: VA citation Shellcracker

Caught this guy a few weeks ago in a pond. right at 11", not quite a pound. These are very cool fish. caught on small beetlespin, with body removed and tipped with nightcrawler. Slow retrieved off a point in 5 fow. These big ones tug pretty good.

If I knew where there were some brim that size I'd fish for 'em. That's a good un. Congrats.

I'm sure you have probably heard of it, but if not, Google "Deep Step" on the Savannaha River. It's a backwater slough section of the river just below Clarks Hill lake. Big 'crackers caught there every year.

i thought a citation is what you got for fishing without a license? actually my first car was an '81chevy citation.

I did not build, someone else did...perfect boat for drifting/ trolling lakes and ponds
